This collection of works includes some papers presented in international events, approximately in the last decade, by some scholars of the Università degli studi di Palermo (Italy), and others eventually joined with them, on the themes of Accounting and Accounting History.
Following the three main features of the “School of Palermo” of Ragioneria (in English, nearly, Accounting) that began with the most famous “Treatise” of Lodovico Flori (1636), which may be summarized in the polymorphism of ‘aziende’ (in English, nearly, ‘economic concerns’), in the thought speculativeness, and, at the same time, in the theoretical-practical integration, the papers of the above mentioned scholars are articulated here in five ideal sections.
The first of these consists of two papers on the historical and theoretical manifesto of this School nowadays, the second section consists of two papers on some thematic analyses, while the third and fourth one, respectively, of further two and five papers on collective and individual history of thought. The fifth section, lastly, consists of two papers on local histories of facts and institutions.
